Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful fall colors wherever you live. I'll bet your all getting ready for Halloween, which is the 31st or last day of October.
I'm happy to tell you the Great Sand Dunes National Park is carrying my book, 'Billie The Buffalo Goes To Great Sand Dunes National Park' in the visitors center.
I love going to the Great Sand Dunes. The visitor's center is a place where you can learn all kinds of things about this National Park.
The rangers at the visitors center have movies to watch about how the Sand was formed at the base of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. They have beautiful displays that show insects and plants found only at the Sand Dunes. Why do you think that is? They even have a program for kids, called Ranger Rick, that gives you special opportunitys to learn about the dunes, go on hikes with the rangers and be part of different events at your park.
We are so lucky to have National Parks. I didn't know we had other ones until Val told me. I was surprised to find out how many we have in our country.
My author, Judith Stone is giving a writer's presentation tommorrow at the Rio Grande History Museum. That is very close to The Flying Eagle Bison Ranch. I'll write again soon. Billie
